Van mijn laptop met windows 7 is de harddrive gecrasht.
Na vervanging van de HDD heb ik met de destijds gemaakte herstel cd's de pc weer naar de fabrieksinstelling kunnen zetten.
Probleem 1: er komen geen updates binnen. Zoeken naar updates geeft de fout: er kan niet naar updates worden gezocht omdat de update service niet actief is. Na controle blijkt deze wel actief te zijn.
Handmatig downloaden en installeren van SP1 en windowsupdateagent geeft de fout: de installatie is mislukt; onherstelbare fout E_Unexpected(0x8000ffff)
Probleem 2: De probleemoplosser geeft voor elk onderdeel de fout: door een probleem kan de probleemoplosser niet worden gestart met diverse foutcodes.
Probleem 3: De installatie van MSE kan niet worden voltooid foutcode: 0x8004ff91
Probleem 4: in het logboek komt veelvuldig de fout : kan de catalogusdatabase niet initialiseren: esent-fout 583 en de windows search-service is onverwacht beeindigd
 
Probeer eerst het updaten werkend te krijgen met de Update Readiness Tool van Microsoft. Het bovenste is voor 32 bits en de tweede download voor 64 bits systemen.

Ik denk dat er fouten zitten in de herstelbestanden maar probeer nog om Windows de beveiligde systeembestanden te laten controleren met de opdracht sfc /scannow. Als er bestanden moeten worden vervangen dan vraagt de computer om het pad naar de Windows installatiebestanden.

Ook de Readness Tool geeft aan dat er een fout is opgetreden met code 0x8000247
sfc /scannow geeft aan dat er beschadigde bestanden zijn aangetroffen die niet allemaal te repareren zijn.
