Ati FireGL4 - geen ondersteuning voor 16-bit dus geen directx
Ik heb een probleem ik heb net een Ati Fire GL4. Er zit 128 mb op alleen spelletjes doen het niet. Hij zegt dat hij dan niet genoeg geheugen heeft.
Nu ga ik via uitvoeren > dxdiag kijken en krijg ik het volgende probleem.

Hoe los ik het op ?? Ik heb het meeste al geprobeerd. Maar ik weet het niet meer...
Ik heb deze driver, ik heb oudere en andere van gl ook geprobeerd, geen van alle werkt.
Er staat ook onder de lijst van videomodi die deze kaart ondersteunt niks van 16-bit. Maar er moet toch een mogelijkheid zijn dat ik er gewoon spelletjes mee kan spelen.
Alleen hoe kan ik directdraw of directx samen laten werken met deze kaart...
Want onder windows draait hij verder goed. Is het misschien handig als ik screenshots maak van de dxdiag en evt de gevanceerde optie van mijn display die door de kaart ondersteunt worden?
Er staat ook onder de lijst van videomodi die deze kaart ondersteunt niks van 16-bit. Maar er moet toch een mogelijkheid zijn dat ik er gewoon spelletjes mee kan spelen.
Installeer es de driver voor de chipset van je moederbord. Dan vervolgens DirectX 9c October 2006-versie. Dan start je de pc opnieuw op en installeer je de nieuwste driver voor je videokaart.

Trouwens, die videokaart is eigenlijk niet bedoeld om spelletjes mee te spelen.
Ik heb er een vaag progammaatje van intel bij maar het lijkt er niet op dat deze drivers ofzo heeft geinstaleert
Ik heb van de intel site de chipset voor de 860 af gehaald. maar wat zouden die drivers meer moeten doen voor mijn systeem?
Kan ik een spel op laten starten in 32-bit modus? Of op een of andere manier de DirectDraw en Driect3D kunnen activeren zonder de 16-bit modus nodig te moeten hebben?
Ik zou er erg geholpen mee zijn... maar dan moet ik alsnog aan een andere videokaart alst allemaal niet werkt.

DirectX9C October-update is zo te zien goed geinstalleerd. Ik denk gewoon dat driver moeilijk doet, maar aangezien er geen nieuwere versie is dan die je al hebt geinstalleerd, houdt het op ben ik bang.
Die foutmelding vertelt precies wat er aan de hand is....jouw videokaart ondersteunt geen 16 bits kleuren, alleen 32 bits.
Dit hoeft geen probleem op te leveren, alleen mocht je ooit een spel willen draaien dat alleen maar werkt met 16 bits (of lager) kleuren heb je kans dat je dan geen beeld krijgt.
Hier is niets aan te doen, dat is de beperking van de videokaart.
Euhm, je XP werkt al in 32-bit mode en de meeste programma's zijn dit ook.
Het gaat om oude programma's en spelletjes waar de kaart problemen mee kan hebben.
Je kan geen spel starten zonder directx of opengl en er is ook geen speciale 16-bit directx. Anders zou je weer problemen krijgen met programma's die 32-bit zijn.
