Ik ben bezig met het opzetten van server waarop ik Nextcloud wil draaien.
Op dit moment ben ik toe aan het daadwerkelijk plaatsen van de data, maar na het kopiëren moeten de indexen worden bijgewerkt.
Vooralsnog had ik alleen mijn eigen data gekopieerd. Het bijwerken van de indexen duurde ruim 9 uur. Nu is ie bezig met het maken van een reguliere backup en dat proces loopt nu ook al ruim 7 uur.
Wat moet dit wel niet worden als ook van de andere twee gebruikers de data is gekopieerd?

Daarom denk ik dat ik mijn computer moet versnellen, maar wat moet ik upgraden? Hieronder een overzicht van mijn PC.

Ik zie graag uit naar jullie adviezen en wens jullie een gezellige jaarwisseling!

Ik denk niet dat dit "overzicht" van de pc hardware een succes gaat worden...zie het nu er niet van om dit in HTML te plaatsen....
Gewoon een screenshot van het overzichts-scherm van Speccy is een stuk duidelijker en aangenamer voor de ogen...
 
Kun je hiermee overweg?

Wat je allemaal plaatst is onleesbaar...
Als je eens iets plaatst als dit ( leesbaar ! ) dan weet iedereen waar we het over moeten hebben..

Een prettig uiteinde Guido, Voornamelijk voor wat betreft de hardware:

Het geheugen moet eerst geplaatst worden in het eerste slot, dat is bankje 0, niet 1.

Een goede grafische kaart helpt de computer de helft.

De processor heeft Intel Speedstep technologie. Dat kan de computer even versnellen bij zware taken maar sommige computers vertragen de processor daardoor zo ver dat het niet meer werkbaar is. Schakel dit dus gerust eens uit in de BIOS. Het is koeler bij belasting en misschien is Speedstep jou probleem als de computer verder geen taken heeft.

Allereerst werk ik hier niet met een GUI, dus ik moet al trucs gebruiken om een dergelijk rapport te maken.
Daarnaast werk ik (dus) niet met Windows, dus is Speccy geen optie.

Nextcloud draait in een Linux-omgeving. Hiervoor kiest men doorgaans voor een Linux-server-omgeving, dus zonder GUI. Een goede grafische kaart is volgens mij daarom ook van ondergeschikt belang.

Hebben jullie dan nog tips om een goed en leesbaar hardware-overzicht te produceren om met jullie te delen?

De computer wordt binnenkort voorzien van een SSD. Dat moet volgens mij een en ander al versnellen.
Daarnaast heb ik aangevraagd de glasvezelverbinding te verhogen van 100Mbits up en down naar 500 Mbits.
