Opeens Geen Dual Layer Meer Branden!

Hallo,

Vandaag wil mijn ASUS BW-16D1H-U Pro Blu Ray Brander opeens geen Dual Layer discs branden!
Eerder deze week was er totaal geen probleem, maar vandaag drama!

CD's, DVD's (met 1 laag) geen probleem, maar met een Dual Layer (dus meerdere lagen) gaat de brander even branden, ma na een paarseconden stopt het brand proces en krijg ik een foutmelding!
Dit gebeurd met verschillende merken discs, in verschillende programma's en snelheden. Ook de firmware is up-to-date, en met de "apparaat verwijder" functie van Windows blijft dit probleem bestaan!

Omdat dit geintje wel erg veel van mijn Dual Layer discs kost roep ik nu jullie hulp in!

Oké, dat wist ik niet! Ik zal straks proberen om een Blu-ray XL (100 GB) disc branden van Verbatim!
Dan weten we of de laser-kop van CD's en DVD's defect is of beide laser-koppen (met ook de Blu-ray's laser-kop)!

Tot nu toe gebruikte ik voor de Dual Layer DVD's van MediaRange (daar was ik zelf al niet zo kapot van, krast heel snel) en van Primeon (die beviel me beter).
Voor CD's gebruik ik gewoon Philips en TDK (wordt niet meer gemaakt) maar daar heb ik geen problemen me met branden, probleem is echt bij Dual Layer dics.

Bedoel je met probleem met driver (USB/moederbord)? Die van mijn pc of die van de brander?
De firmware voor de brander is up-to-date.

Ik ga zeker straks proberen om op een andere pc de brander aan te sluiten en een disc van Verbatim Blu-ray XL (100 GB) disc te branden.

Aan de ene kant hoop ik dan dat het probleem bij de brander ligt, deze is makkelijker te vervangen dan een hele pc!

Ja, deze brander is helemaal niet oud, iets meer dan vorig jaar gekocht, en enkele maanden niet gebruikt, dus eigenlijk nog compleet nieuw!
Zelfs de doos heb ik nog! Daarom vind ik het vreemd dat ik opeens drama hebt met deze brander, want op zich is het een mooi ding!
 
Vanavond heb ik op een andere pc geprobeerd om een Blu-ray (100 GB) van Verbatim gebrand, dit is gelukt zonder problemen!
Dit heb ik gebrand d.m.v. Nero Burning ROM.

Vervolgens het ik toch weer geprobeerd om een DVD DL (8.5 GB) van Primeon te branden.
Het brandproces is voltooid met foutmeldingen met Nero Express (deze voeg ik toe als laatste op dit bericht).

Ook heb ik opnieuw DVD DL (8.5 GB) van Primeon te branden met ImgBrun.
Dat lukte helaas ook weer niet. (deze foutmelding voeg ik ook toe als laatste op dit bericht)

Helaas heb ik alleen maar DVD DL (8.5 GB) van Primeon en niet van Verbatim (daar van heb ik alleen maar Blu-ray (100 GB) van).
Het waardoor ik niet kan uitsluiten of het de discs zijn of de bander of wel laser-kop van DVD's.

Wat ik nog kan doen is een poging om een DVD DL (8.5 GB) van Primeon te branden in de interne DVD-brander van de pc zelf.
Of een pakketje DVD DL (8.5 GB) van Verbatim te kopen om het één en ander uit te sluiten!

Vanavond heb ik op een andere pc geprobeerd om een Blu-ray (100 GB) van Verbatim gebrand, dit is gelukt zonder problemen!
Dit heb ik gebrand d.m.v. Nero Burning ROM.

Vervolgens het ik toch weer geprobeerd om een DVD DL (8.5 GB) van Primeon te branden.
Het brandproces is voltooid met foutmeldingen met Nero Express (deze voeg ik toe als laatste op dit bericht).

Ook heb ik opnieuw DVD DL (8.5 GB) van Primeon te branden met ImgBrun.
Dat lukte helaas ook weer niet. (deze foutmelding voeg ik ook toe als laatste op dit bericht)

Helaas heb ik alleen maar DVD DL (8.5 GB) van Primeon en niet van Verbatim (daar van heb ik alleen maar Blu-ray (100 GB) van).
Het waardoor ik niet kan uitsluiten of het de discs zijn of de bander of wel laser-kop van DVD's.

Wat ik nog kan doen is een poging om een DVD DL (8.5 GB) van Primeon te branden in de interne DVD-brander van de pc zelf.
Of een pakketje DVD DL (8.5 GB) van Verbatim te kopen om het één en ander uit te sluiten!

Hebben jullie nog tips of ideeën?

Ik heb ook eventjes jouw programma "Infrarecorder geïnstalleerd.
Helaas krijg ik daar gelijk ook een foutmelding: "Cannot open next track"!

Met de interne DVD-brander heb ik totaal geen problemen (met Nero Burning ROM)!

Ik ga nu andere discs bestellen (Verbatim) want ik ben echt bijna helemaal door mijn voorraad heen!
Dan ga ik het opnieuw proberen lukt het dan wel dan is het een disc fout (van twee fabrikanten) of het is een defecte brander (en daar gaat toch nu wel mijn gevoel naar uit!).
Als de brander nu al defect is valt dit wel echt flink tegen en zal ik gaan proberen om bij Asus een garantieclaim in te dienen!

Krijg heel sterk het vermoeden dat de laser voor DVD's in de BR brander defect is..
Zoals eerder reeds opgemerkt, de BR brander heeft aparte laser-koppen voor DVD en BR...
BR brandt hij probleemloos, DVD ( DL ) geeft fouten...
DVD met een andere ( DVD ) brander werkt probleemloos.
Conclusie lijkt me vrij duidelijk...
 
Dat vermoeden krijg ik helaas ook!

Ik wacht nog heel even op de nieuwe discs van Verbatim (later deze week), als dan dit ook problemen geeft dan is de laser-kop voor DVD's defect!

Inmiddels heb ik ook al ASUS al gemaild, hun geven ook al aan dat ze denken aan de laser-kop :

In dit soort toestellen is vrij weinig softwarematig aan te passen. Of alle functies werken of juist niet.
Als u ditzelfde probleem ervaart met andere brand software dan is er iets aan de hand met de dual layer lens/ laser. In dat geval kan ik u alleen verzoeken de verkoper te benaderen om aanspraak te maken op eventuele garantie van het product.

Zelf staan wij geheel los van deze procedures en dient u hievoor dus de verkoper te benaderen.

Als het een garantie dingetje wordt, wordt het nog lachen want de brander is bij Amazon Duitsland besteld (ook nog eens zakelijk)!
Amazon zegt dat de fabrikant de garantie doet (volgens hun website) en ASUS geeft aan dat Amazon verantwoordelijk is voor garantie!

So to be continued!

Dat was ook eigenlijk de reden van aanschaf van deze brander, om toch nog iets te hebben voor het geval dat.
Natuurlijk is opslag op HDD of SSD altijd beter, maar als extra back-up op CD, DVD of Blu-ray is natuurlijk altijd verstandig!

Ik heb ook al jaren dezelfde spindels. Ik gebruik het ook per toeval. Bestel ook nu nog maar max. 50 of 25 stuks, geen 100 stuks meer!
Wil ooit alle oude videocamera bandjes digitaliseren en op DVD of Blu-ray branden, dus zou ik in die tijd extra meer gaan branden!
 
Vandaag is eindelijk de bestelling met andere DVD DL discs binnengekomen (merk Verbatim)!
Gelijk eerst even met Nero Disc Speed enkele testen uitgevoerd!

Het is daarna wel gelukt zonder grote foutmeldingen!
Althans ik kreeg geen hele grote errors te zien, waarmee de brandopdracht wordt gestopt!
Maar in het rapport zie ik nog wel steeds drie keer de "NeroError(-1066)" staan! (zie rapport boven)

Waar komt dat door?
Waarom krijg ik nog steeds NeroError(-1066) in de rapporten te zien?

Ik dacht/denk dat het een disc fout is, want met deze discs werkt het branden op het eerste gezicht wel!
Met de discs van de vorige keer krijg ik nog steeds gelijk foutmeldingen (heb het net nog even geprobeerd)
Dus het lijkt er op dat deze partij discs op de helft opeens corrupt is geworden, want de eerste keren met deze discs had deze brander geen problemen!

Kortom ik blijf het vreemd vinden!
 
Wat mij opvalt is dat de foutmeldingen allemaal hetzelfde zijn, nl :

Ik vind nl. op internet dat het updaten van Nero in veel gevallen dit probleem oplost....:rolleyes:

Volgens mij Nero Platinum 2020, wordt altijd uitgegeven een jaar eerder, dus vorig jaar 2019.
Om precies te zijn versie 22.0.1.4

Wat nu toe doen?
Even proberen met ander brand programma bijv. ImgBurn?
 
Ja, dat is wat ik zou doen..
ImgBurn kent de structuren en opbouw van alle images en stelt zich daar zelfstandig op in.
Enige wat je zelf moet / kunt doen, is de brandsnelheid aanpassen.
Zelf brand ik vrijwel alles op 4 speed, hooguit 8, niet sneller.
