Calc begin ik al leuk te vinden, nu nog de database.
Ik heb een adressenbestand geëxporteerd naar een txt bestand (cst) en gebruikt voor het maken van een database in openoffice. Keurig wordt alles binnengehaald maar is niet te bewerken, geen gegevens toe te voegen, te veranderen of wat dan ook. Er wordt aangegeven dat het een 'alleen lezen' bestand is. Wat ik ook doe of onderzoek, alles wat ik kan bereiken staat nergens dat het 'alleen lezen' is. Opnieuw opslaan of opslaan als, exporteren niets werkt.
Wie weet raad?

geplukt van een engelstalig forum - dit gaat ervan uit dat het een calc-bestand betreft.
ik heb het net geprobeerd, en het werkt!

You have your data in the spreadsheet. = OK
Make yourself a new database (will be completely empty) so do
File > Database > select the option Make a new database, then Next.
Leave the options in the next dialog as they are. (Register database and Open database..)
Hit Finish.
Give the new (empty) database a name. Remember that.

Open the spreadsheet with your data in it, as well as the new database.
Select all data in the spreadsheet and copy them (Ctrl+C will do that)

NOW:

Go to the opened database and click on the icon Tables.
This brings you to the list with tables. However, since your database is empty nothing
will show up. That's good.

Rightclick in the white section below the grey bar with "Tables" in it.
Choose Paste from the pop-up menu.
This will activate the import-wizard for your data.
Give the table a name.
Choose for Definition and data and make a Primary key

If you hit Create now, all your data will be copied into the database. That is what you
want.
You might also check out what happens if you hit Next. This will give you some more control over the import

Voor mij is de vraag weer opgelost.
Openoffice wordt steeds leuker.
