Ik heb onlangs de virusscanner van AVG op mijn pc
gezet. Als ik de pc nu opstart geeft AVG elke keer aan:
E-mail scanner is not fully functional
Als mail programma gebruik ik incredimail. Wie heeft het hetzelfde probleem en weet een oplossing?

ik gebruik dezelfde combinatie en dat werkt perfect ... klik eens rechts op het icoontje van avg ( naast klok ), dan controlecentrum starten, daar kan je zien welk deel niet actief is ... zie bijlage.

Als ik naar het control center ga en daar bij email op configureer klik is de email wel goed maar zodra ik afsluit en de pc opnieuw opstart blijft het icoontje onder in beeld zwart wit en geeft dezelfde melding weer. Ik hoef toch niet elke keer naar het control toe om het goed te laten werken, dit hoort toch automatisch te gaan? Ik gebruik trouwens de free versie.

E-mail scanner is not fully functional
If AVG Control center displays an error message "E-mail scanner is not fully functional", please left-click the E-mail scanner window (the red one), in the bottom part of the AVG Control Center window you will see a detailed description of why the E-mail scanner does not work properly. Following reasons may occur:

Personal E-mail scanner is not configured

If you are using Outlook Express program, or other mail program than MS Outlook, The BAT!, or Eudora program, it is necessary to configure the Personal E-mail scanner (AVG EMS) to scan mail in your e-mail program.

If you are using any of the any of the e-mail programs that are supported by AVG Free (MS Outlook, The BAT!, Eudora), the Personal E-mail Scanner is installed needlessly because mail is scanned by AVG Free directly by a special plugin developed for each of these e-mail programs. In that case you do not need the Personal E-mail Scanner, you should uninstall it - it only uselessly use harddrive space and system resources. Uninstallation process is described here.

Plugin for The Bat! program is not installed

In this case you installed the AVG Free plugin for this e-mail program, but you do not have the e-mail program installed. Ik heb inmiddels AVG verwijderd. Het liep niet zoals ik dat wou. Heb nu Norton 2005 erop gezet en dit loopt prima.
