Brandproces audio-cd met Nero mislukt steeds...

Ik heb recent een Philips dvd-rewriter aangeschaft. Daarbij kreeg ik een schijfje Nero OEM Suite. Ik kan nu wel data branden maar een audio cd mislukt steeds wat mij iedere keer weer een nieuw leeg cd'tje kost (ik meerdere types geprobeerd). Ik kan een audio-cd wel branden met andere programma's zoals Realplayer en WMP maar bij Nero stopt het schrijfproces steeds na 4%. Ik heb al een update gedownload van de site van Nero, maar dat mocht niet baten. Ik heb het schijfje ook al vaak opnieuw geïnstalleerd en andere versies van Nero geprobeerd, maar steeds keert het probleem terug.

Het log-bestand dat je na het mislukken van het proces kan opslaan stuur ik onderaan dit bericht mee. Hopelijk biedt dat voor iemand duidelijkheid.

Ik hoop dat iemand mij zou kunnen vertellen wat hier aan de hand is en wat ik aan dit probleem kan doen!

Ik ken de vensters van Nero OEM niet meer zo goed, maar heb je voor het brandproces begon, ergens onderweg de keus gemaakt voor zoiets als Multisession of Compilatie?
Uit het rapport valt op te maken dat Nero een CD-R aantrof terwijl er een CD-RW in de lade moest liggen.
Multisession of Compilatie zijn termen om aan te geven dat er later op de CD nog meer muziekbestanden gebrand moeten kunnen worden.

Wat ik lees, is dat de dma uit staat, bij deze devices, hier staat hoe je die kan enablen.

Ook de APSI drivers zijn verouderd, die vind je hier.

Misschien dat hierna je probleem is verholpen, een tip is ook, gebruik rewritetebels om te proberen, scheelt weer wat schijfjes.

Hallo!

Bedankt voor de reacties. De afgelopen dagen kon ik deze site niet bereiken vandaar dat ik nu pas reageer op jullie antwoorden.

Als eerste heb ik het advies van 'Lage Pier' opgevolgd en DMA enabled. Zowel bij Primair IDE-kanaal als Secundair IDE-kanaal heb ik onder 'geavanceerde instellingen' bij zowel Apparaat 0 en Apparaat 1 de overdrachtmodus op 'alleen PIO' gezet.

Ik heb nu geloof ik alleen DMA geactiveerd in het besturingssysteem. Volgens de aanwijzingen op die website waar jij naar verwees moet DMA ook geactiveerd worden op de harde schijf. Hiervoor moet ik de handleiding van de harde schijf raadplegen, maar ik heb geen handleiding dus ik weet niet hoe ik dat moet doen.

Vervolgens heb ik vanaf de andere site waar jij naar verwees de APSI driver gedownload en geïnstalleerd.

Daarna heb ik een CD-RW aangeschaft en geprobeerd en hiermee een audio-cd proberen te branden. Het bleek zijn vruchten te hebben afgeworpen want het brandproces werd succesvol voltooid. Daarna ook een CD-R geprobeerd en die bleek het ook te doen! Het viel me wel op dat het branden nu veel meer van het geheugen eist dan voor dat ik problemen kreeg met branden. Ik kan de computer tijdens het brandproces nauwelijks gebruiken.

Gisteren heb ik nog een CD-R en daarna een CD-RW proberen te branden, maar helaas de brandprocessen mislukken weer, net als voorheen. Onderaan het bericht nogmaals de tekst in het log-bestand (van de mislukte CD-RW).

Ik ben echt heel benieuwd waarom het nu weer mis gaat. Zouden jullie me a.u.b. nog een keer willen assisteren?

De settings moeten op (U)DMA staan, in PIO mode, werken ze via de processor, dat is, en langzamer, en meer kans op fouten, en de processor wordt zwaar belast.

Je kunt die DMA modus niet op de harde schijf veranderen, dat is een controller optie, maar indien die niet wil, is of de kabel niet goed, of geen 80polige gebruikt, of niet op de juiste connector van de kabel, eind aan de master, midden aan de slave, gezet.

Maar dat is niet zo van belang voor de harde schijf, althans bij het branden niet, voor de cd/dvd drives dienen die wel op dma modus 2 te draaien.

Okee, ik heb de settings dus weer terug gezet op DMA, of wel op de oorspronkelijke instelling.

Het enige dat nu veranderd is, is de installatie van die APSI driver. Kun je dat ook terugzien in het log-bestand?

Ik heb net een audio-cd geprobeerd te branden met één track van 4 minuten. Die is succesvol voltooid. Vervolgens heb ik een bestaande tracklist van bijna 79 minuten geopend en die weer proberen te branden. Dat proces is echter weer mislukt op 4%.

Op één of andere manier kan de processor zo'n brandproces niet aan. Het is vreemd dat ik in de afgelopen dagen nog wel even audio-cd's heb kunnen branden.

Wat zou ik nu nog kunnen doen? (ik ben ten einde raad...)

Misschien een echt hele stomme vraag, zijn de schijfjes die je gebruikt 700 of 800 mb?

Het zijn de standaard 700 mb schijfjes. Heb ze geprobeerd van verschillende merken: Sony, TDK en Primeon. Aan het merk en het type kan het dus echt niet liggen.

Bij die ASPI drivers zit een aspichk.exe bij, daarmee kun je zien of ze ingeschakeld zijn.

Ik heb persoonlijk nooit problemen gehad met Nero, je hebt wel op hun site gekeken naar de laatste updates/upgrades?, met de eerste versies van 7, waren veel problemen, die er nu allemaal uit moeten zijn.

Hoe staan de devices geconfigureerd? master en/of slave?, en aan welke aansluiting zitten ze aan welk type ide kabel?

Heb je ook gekeken of er een Firmware update is voor die brander?

Lange Pier, ik heb die Aspichk.exe gevonden en ik zie in de kolom 'components' vier bestandsnamen staan. Ik weet niet of dit een goed of een slecht teken is.

De brander is een Philips SPD6000L1. Waar zou ik een firmware update kunnen downloaden? Ik gebruik Windows XP. Updates zouden toch automatisch moet worden bijgehouden.

Hoe de devices geconfigureerd staan weet ik niet. Hoe en waar ik kan dat vinden? De brander is met een USB kabel met de computer verbonden.

Fozziebear, ik heb nu een tracklist van ongeveer 67 minuten gebrand en dit verliep probleemloos! Maar ik moet toch ook de maximale capaciteit van de cd kunnen benutten? Dit heeft altijd goed gewerkt.

Dit heeft te maken met de lead in en lead out. 80 minuten is niet echt 80 minuten muziek. Dat is een fabeltje.. Hou maar een marge van 10 minuten aan, dan zit je altijd goed

Aha, een externe brander, heb ik overheen gelezen, of het staat nergens.

Staat er in apparaatbeheer ook een enhanced USB driver?, zou kunnen dat die USB op 1.1 werkt, en niet op 2.0, en dat het wel de bedoeling is.

De software voor 3e party devices wordt natuurlijk niet geupdated door microsoft, daar mag je zelf voor zorgen, bij Philips die brander opzoeken, en daar naar de firmware, lijkt mij het handigst.

Fozziebear, dat snap ik even niet. Een tracklist van 80 minuten is toch letterlijk 80 minuten muziek. Dat zie je toch als je de lengte van alle nummers in de tracklist bij elkaar optelt...
Ik heb m'n CD-R's altijd tot de maximale capaciteit opgevuld. Maar ik begrijp nu dat het beter is dat je altijd 10% marge overhoudt. Gaan de CD-R's dan langer mee of is dat om het risico tot het mislukken van het brandproces te beperken?

Lange Pier, ik ben nu allerlei updates aan het installeren vanaf de Nero website. Ik heb ontdekt dat je eenvoudig kunt uitvinden welke updates je nog moet installeren door naar de Nero StartSmart te gaan en dan naar Nero Product Center.

Als alle Nero updates zijn geïnstalleerd dan ga ik op zoek naar de Firmware updates van Philips! Wordt vervolgd!

Hier ben ik weer. Het installeren van de Nero updates is allemaal goed gegaan. De firmware update kan ik echter niet vinden op de site van Philips.
Wat ik wel kon vinden op de Philips website is een programma met de naam Philips Intelligent Agent. Dit programma zoekt voor je uit welke Philips apparaten en programma's op je computer een update nodig hebben. Alleen bij mij staat er in het venster van het programma achter de DVD-rewriter "Recentste versie" onbekend... Dus daar schiet ik niks mee op.

Vervolgens heb ik wat geks ontdekt. Als ik een nieuwe compilatie samenstel en ga branden dan kan het brandproces succesvol worden voltooid. Als ik een oude opgeslagen tracklist met dezelfde nummers open en op CD-R gaan branden, dan gaat het mis. Het heeft dus iets met het bestand te maken waarin de tracklist is opgeslagen...
De tracklist die goed op CD is gebrand heb ik opgeslagen en nóg een keer gebrand en ook die doet het nu!

Ik heb de Nero Toolkit net bekeken maar ik kan er zelf niet zo wijs uit. Ik heb 'm opgeslagen en voeg 'm aan dit bericht toe. Wellicht dat iemand daar nog iets bijzonders uit kan halen.

Ja dat was mij ook opgevallen. Alleen hoe krijg ik dat weer goed?

Ik heb onder Apparaatbeheer > IDE ATA/ATAPI-controllers > Primair IDE-kanaal > Geavanceerde instellingen > de overdrachtsmodus van Apparaat 0 en Apparaat 1 op "DMA, indien beschikbaar gezet". Dat zelfde heb ik ook bij Secundair IDE-kanaal gedaan.

Dit is een externe USB drive, misschien bij apparaatbeheer voor deze brander? en niet bij de controller opties.

Bij Philips kan/kon ik ook niets vinden over deze drive, klopt het nummer wel?
Of heb je hem zelf in een externe behuizing gestopt?

Kon alleen deze vinden.

Oh wacht. Ik heb nu iets verkeerd doorgegeven. Het gaat niet om een externe drive. Mijn opmerking over een USB kabel klopt niet! Dom van mij... ik was in de war met een andere kabel waar ik de naam niet meer van kan achterhalen. Het is dus een interne brander...!

Mijn beschrijving van de brander klopt wel: Philips SPD6000L1.

De link die jij net gaf leidt naar Philips Intelligent Agent, het programma wat ik al heb geïnstalleerd alleen waar ik niets aan heb omdat die voor het betreffende apparaat niet naar een update zoekt.

Zet eens de brander als secundaire master aan het eind van de ide kabel, de harde schijf als master aan de primaire controller, ook aan het eind van de kabel, en de lezer als slave, in het midden van de ide kabel, bij de harde schijf.

En probeer in die secundaire controller, de brander op dma te krijgen.

Brandproces audio-cd met Nero mislukt steeds...
