Ik heb winxp geïnstalleerd i.pv. 98 in een dualbootsysteem, in de nieuwe os heb ik directx 9 niet geïnstalleerd, dus default zou er 8.1 op moeten staan, maar er staat 9 op, dus ik neem aan dat windowsupdate dat gedaan heeft.
Nu is er een probleem met een spel van mijn zoon die draait alleen, zoals hij zelf zegt, onder 8.1 (Lemans) is hier nog een oplossing voor.

Dat spel draait ook onder DirectX9.0 hoor. Dus je kan deze gewoon laten staan.

Dit bovenste zegt hij als mijn zoontje op play klikt

Er is een patch voor dat probleem en dat is deze:

Deze dient je zoon te installeren, zodat het spel met DirectX9 overweg kan.

Patch Install Instructions


Use your favorite ZIP utility to extract the files within the patch to a temporary folder. Then, simply drag the AUTORUN.EXE provided in the patch into the folder in which you installed the game, and answer "Yes" to the prompt as to whether you wish to overwrite the file. After doing this, you may delete any files remaining in the temporary folder. NOTE: From this point forward you will need to run the game by selecting its entry in the Windows Start Menu, as attempting to run the game simply by inserting the CD into your CDROM drive and clicking Play on the menu that comes up will still generate the above error.
