Mensen die regelmatig Quake3 spelen of speelden, kennen de populaire Capture The Flag-map ''Dueling Keeps'' wel. Dit is mijn favoriete CTF-map in Quake3 en vond het dan ook jammer dat Quake4 niet een remake van deze map heeft. Dus ben ik zelf aan de slag gegaan en heb ik deze map van de grond af aan opnieuw opgebouwd. Dus niet door de originele map door een conversie-programma te halen, maar door echt vanaf 0 begonnen met screenshots van het origineel als referentie-materiaal. En hij is goed gelukt moet ik zeggen.
Houd er wel rekening mee dat dit niet Quake3 is, dus de fps per pc drastisch kan verschillen.

Description : Quake4 edition of the popular Quake3:Arena CTF-map Q3ctf1 aka''Dueling Keeps''.
Re-designed from scratch, so not a lame conversion via a converter-program.
It has a new theme, featured by custom-made textures.
The gameplay is almost the same as the original Quake3 version. This is also why
i didn't used weapon-placeholders.
Best Playerload : 4vs4
Author's Comments : Maybe you will recognize a lower FPS, but that's not so weird since it isn't Quake3.
The map is optimized as best as i could tho. Also there is no SABot-support. This version of the
map uses 256x256pixels-textures for performance-reasons. I have them also in 512x512 pixel-size, but i
don't know if i will bring out a HighRes-version of this map sometime.
*** HOW TO PLAY ***
Extract DuelingKeeps.zip into your /Quake 4/q4base/ directory. Start up a multiplayer server, and have fun.
Start or go find a server.
*** Changing the LightDetailLevel ***
This could be done by loading the map. Now open up the console (CTRL+ALT+~) and type: r_lightdetaillevel and choose a number.
Example: r_lightdetaillevel 5
How higher the number, the more lights will be turned on, the lower the fps if you already have a low-end pc, but how better
it looks.
Play with these settings to see what's the best setting for you computer in terms of performance. R_lightdetaillevel 9 shows
only Ambient-lighting
