Beste,
ik heb echt een enorm probleem, mijn externe HD (PCMCIA - Initio Inic-1620 - Icy-box - Seagate 250GB 3,5") gaat bij het kopiëren van bestanden tot 20 maal trager dan in XP. (max snelheid vista = 2 mb/s terwijl in xp dit ruim meer dan 40 mb/s is)
Ik denk dat het aan mn initio inic1620 eSata-controller ligt maar ja... ik heb de officiele drivers gedownload dus het kan eigenlijk geen driver probleem zijn. Ook heb ik bij de HD de optie 'optimaliseren voor prestaties' gekozen en alle vinkjes eronder (zodat hij nog meer presteert, zogezegd...)
Ik heb alle updates van Vista geinstalleerd (inc sp1) dus daaraan ligt het volgens mij ook niet. Er zijn ook geen HW-conflicten zogezegd.
Alsook heb ik de chipset drivers geinstalleerd, maar nee, noppes.
Ik kreeg ook ergens te horen dat dit aan indexering kan liggen, zodus heb ik dit voor elk station uitgevinkt en heb ik de service plat gelegd, maar helaas pindakaas, geen verbetering.
kan ik hiervoor dingen in het register aanpassen ofzo? Want het steekt echt wel tegen.
Een oplossing is echt welgekomen.
P.S.: Ik heb hiervoor al een mail gestuurd naar Conceptronic, maar na een week nog altijd geen antwoord. (Was nochthans beleefd en in m'n beste engels...)
Omdat er enkele bijkomende info staat in de mail.. bij deze (ik heb wel niet ondertekend met Destiser, maar ik wil mijn identiteit nu ook nie prijsgeven):

I am the proud owner of a Conceptronic CSATAEC eSata Cardbus controller card, which has worked flawless under Windows XP Pro.
But, since I am working with Windows Vista Home Basic (32 bit), I have noticed some performance issues. In XP I got a Read Burst Speed of 85mbps but in Vista it is nearly 10mbps.
I think it has something to do with the drivers for your controller, because in your manual there's a line that says: "In windows Vista there are no drivers needed, just insert the controller and wait until windows automatically detects and installs the new hardware". That didn't happen. I had to download the drivers from the Initio Corp. website to install. My product was recognized now under windows, but had a poor performance. I also enabled the "Optimize for performance" button and the "Enable disk cache" button like I did in Windows XP.
Is this issue known by your company? And is there a solution? Is there perhaps a (difficult to find) new driver for vista? Or do I have to change something in the registry?
I would like to find out if there is a solution, because it isn't satisfying to buy an eSata controller that says it is compatible with Vista and performs as little as USB.
