Freecom Classic CD-RW

ik krijg mijn pas aangeschafte Freecom Classic CD-RW 4-4-6 USB rewriter niet aan de gang. Alle drivers geinstalleerd, maar mijn os herkent hem niet en geeft geen drive letter.
Mijn os is W98.
Wie heeft tips?

ik heb meerdere USB app. aangesloten, dus dat zal wel ok zijn.

Uit de support van Freecom:

After installing my USB cable, it's not recognized in Windows 98
Answer :
Start Windows and run from the Freecom installation disk:
driverremove.exe & remove the Freecom drivers.

Disconnect the USB from your system and reboot your system.
When your machine is rebooted, connect the USB cable again.
The message " New Hardware found " is displayed.
Select the floppydrive to locate the drivers and finish the procedure.

When you still encounter problems do the following: run from the Freecom installation disk: driverremove.exe & remove the Freecom drivers.
Than run driverchoise from installation disk and select driver without IRQ. and save it.
Disconnect the USB from your system and reboot your system.
When your machine is rebooted, connect the USB cable, the message " New Hardware found " is displayed, than install the driver from the Freecom installation disk.

Das niet handig, een crosspost plaatsen.
Beter was het geweest als je de mod had gewaarschuwd (of iemand anders die hier heeft gereageerd) zodat deze vraag verplaatst had kunnen worden.
Bij deze gooi ik deze op slot en verplaats ik hem naar dezelfde sectie als je crosspost.
