HTC Desire S start niet meer op na afbreken OTA update Android

Mijn broertje is zo slim geweest om de batterij uit zijn telefoon te halen terwijl Android over het draadloos netwerk geupdate werd. Hij vond het te lang duren en wilde het afbreken.
Echter, het gevolg is nu dat er geen werkende versie van Android meer op de telefoon staat. De telefoon start niet op en ook een hard reset (volume omlaag + aan knop) werkt niet. De telefoon reageert simpelweg nergens meer op. Ik heb al op Google gezocht maar kan geen oplossing vinden.

Heeft iemand nog een idee?

herstellen met een backup, en anders is het einde telefoon.

Daar zit juist het probleem. Om ook maar iets te doen (backup herstellen, hard reset) moet de telefoon ten minste een beetje opstarten om verbinding met PC te kunnen maken.
Ik vreesde al voor einde telefoon.

hij had hem moeten aflaten is het zelfde als bij iPhone software update als ik die uit vallen met low battery dan kan hij ook de soep in gaan.

Ongetwijfeld dat daar iets te vinden is. Mijn optimus 2x is bijvoorbeeld nog te flashen via smartflash of nvflash. Voor de Desire S zal vast ook zoiets zijn.

Je zou zomaar es zeggen dat je hem dan gebricked hebt, dan heb je echt ****** aan de knikker want dan
is hij heel simpel gezegd gansch kapoet.

Dit kwam ik nog tegen wellicht dat je de HTC nog kunt 'redden'.

so here's the deal - I am 99.9% sure that the bricked eMMC chip is a problem only in devices with a chip that was faulty in the first place. When the phone first came out, there were MANY threads on the hardware faults like "Battery cover not fitting" and "Misaligned screen". This was an issue that could't be identified easily, so it wasn't reported. Now, many people are having this issue and instead of panicking, we should do some research. I think that all the guys who bricked their phone would be living close to each other, in the same country or at least the same continent ie, this is a local issue. Also, i'm sure they had one of the other issues i mentioned above. I've not seen anyone in India or Asia with any such issues, so i think we need to find out why europe is having problems. Contact the BRICKees, i'll try making a new thread.

Anders is een Nexus S wellicht een aardige vervanging. Krijg je straks ook nog ICS (Android 4.0)
