Java staat niet op mijn computer

Hallo hoe kom ik aan Java. Als ik iets wil downloaden dan wordt er gevraagd naar Java. Wie weet waar. ik dat kan ophalen.

Nu kun je idd 2 dingen doen

Java downloaden van sun site (url staat hier boven al)
maar deze is (helaas) met vele dingen niet compatable dus als je toch de windows JVM prefereerd.

(die Microsoft Virtual Machine version 5.00.3810. moet je hebben, die update is trouwens nog niet zo oud, 3 maart 2003. Het stukje is al van af Jan 2003 en toch blijven ze updaten. Ik blijf het een vreemd verhaal vinden, maar goed)

stukje verdere info, ik weet niet welk OS je hebt (ik denk XP omdat dat enige OS is waar standaard geen JVM bij word geleverd, maar in SP1 van XP zit wel JVM, let wel dan heb ik het dus over SP1 en niet SP1a want daar is ie juist weer aangepast) en ik lees hier dus net dat in SP4 van windows 2000 dat ie dan er uitgegooit word, dus die zou je ook nog kunnen hebben natuurlijk.

das overigens reden waarom ik zelf nog SP1 op me hd heb staan en geen SP1a want ik vind JVM maar wat handig en die troep van sun mogen ze houden!

dan zou ik die dus niet nemen, dat nog ouwe build van augustus 2002

die van virtualmachine.tk is van maart 2003 daar zijn een paar critical flaws uitgehaald. zoals ik eerder al zei dat is dus:

ag nieuw, is ook alweer vanaf maart 2003 maar deze:

is nog van jaar eerder en kijk maar op site hier boven wat er in die tussen tijd allemaal gefixed is, een paar zeer belangrijke beveiliging issues...
