Heb eigenlijk 2 dezelfde vragen over DriveImage 2002:
1) Hoe kan ik een kopie maken van een logische partitie naar een primaire partitie?
2) Hoe kan ik een backup gemaakt van een logische partitie terugzetten naar een primaire partitie?
Beide heb ik geprobeerd, kopie maken naar schijf 1 en backup teruggezet naar schijf 1, maar het opstarten lukt niet, omdat het teruggezet wordt als een Extended Partition (zoals oorspronkelijk).
Hoe kan ik toch opstarten met wat ik gekopieerd of teruggezet heb?
Op hun site heb ik het volgende gevonden. Maar bij "tools" staat geen “Create Extended” optie.
Solution: Copying a Logical Partition to a Primary Partition
In some instances, you may want to copy a logical partition from the destination hard drive and make it a primary partition on the target hard drive. Or, you may want to copy a primary partition from the destination and make it a logical partition on the target hard drive. With PartitionMagic, this can be a simple process, since PartitionMagic copies the partition based on the location of the target free space (i.e., if the free space is located inside an extended partition, the partition is copied as a logical).
DriveCopy and Drive Image are more intuitive in this process. Extended partitions are copied along with logical partitions. Thus, to copy a logical partition over as a primary, it will be necessary to create a small extended partition on the destination hard drive using the “Create Extended” option under the “Tools” menu. Once this small partition has been created, select the remaining free space as the destination for the copy. The program will then prompt you saying, "The target free space is not in an extended partition. The logical partition(s) selected will be converted to primary partitions."
After selecting OK the operation will complete successfully.
