Hallo helpmij forum,
Ik heb een vreemd probleem. Ik heb een Logitech G930 gaming headset met surround sound 7.1. Ik heb deze headset grofweg 2 jaar nu en nooit problemen gehad met de surround sound tot ongeveer 2 dagen geleden (1-2-2015). Het kan zijn dat ik er langer last van heb, maar toen niet gemerkt heb.
Even to the point, Ik merkte als ik op de headset de switch omzetten van stereo naar surround sound, dat de "logitech gaming software" niet merkte dat ik het aan had gezet. Ik hoorde dus ook alleen geluid van direct links en rechts. Geen surround sound of subwoofer.
Na de volgende stappen gedaan te hebben (gevonden op engelse support site) werkt de surround sound weer, maar merk ik dat ik nu links geluid en rechts geluid op beide links en recht hoor.
Dus deze stappen heb ik gevolgd:
I have found a temp fix for me.
you have to disconnect the dongle before the driver starts up, if it doesnt automatically just start it manually (in administrator mode) from the logitech directory or a shortcut.
when the driver is started up, connect the dongle and it should work. Test this by switching on the dolby switch on your headset and look if the dolby logo in the dolby tab of the driver lights up
after that click: experience surround sound. check if the "last 7.1 detected" clock is counting. If not there is still something wrong and you can try to reinstall doing the following:
1. Uninstall the current LGS installed in your system.
2. Delete the folder from the program files.
3. Use a 3rd party software of your preference to restore the registry and delete TMP files and folders. (i used ccleaner)
4. Restart your PC.
5. start msconfig by typing: msconfig.exe in the search bar. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
6. Uncheck Load Startup Items
7. Select the Services tab
8. Check Hide all Microsoft services
9. Click Disable all
10. Click on OK
11. restart
12. install LGS from link on logitech website
13. connect the dongle and check if working with switch and the experience surround sound (last detected clock should start to count when you click it)
14. disconnect dongle
15. restart
16. start driver first
17. connect dongle and check with switching the surround button on headset to on.
18. to check if surround is really working: click experience surround sound and watch if the last detected timer is detecting the 7.1 sound.
after it works you have to go to msconfig again to turn on the services by clicking hide all microsoft services and click enable all in the services tab(or what you want to enable) the same with the startup tab. apply and ok. restart and it should work.
remember! disconnect the dongle before opening the driver and check every time because I dont know if it works always. I tested it on 2 computers.
this fixed it for me. there is still a problem though my lgs doesnt start automatically. That could be the source of the 7.1 not responding problem
Dit leek dus geholpen te hebben aangezien de gaming software nu 7.1 sounds herkende, maar nu hoor ik al het geluid van links ook op rechts en vice versa.
Ik heb geen idee waarom dit gebeurt en het is vreselijk irritant om nu films en series te kijken met 7.1 of om te gamen aangezien al het geluid samen wordt geperst door beide kanten van de headset.

Sound Card zit vast op het moederbord - MSI-MS7850
Ontvanger voor headset zit op USB 2.0 poort. (getest op 3.0 poort, zelfde probleem)
Heeft iemand enig idee wat ik verder kan proberen of is mijn headset gewoon defect?
Ik hoop dat iemand mij verder kan helpen, wordt er niet bepaald vrolijk van.

EDIT: Net ingame nogmaals getest, vreemd genoeg WEL 7.1 sound in-game, maar niet in windows applicaties zoals de test functies. Ook de series en films geven geen 7.1 sound. Vreemd dit.
