hallo
ik ben bezig met het installeren van een printer op de pc van mijn moeder
de pc is net nieuw (amd3200xp64) met windows xp home en sp1
de printer is een canon smartbase mpc200photo
het probleem is dat volgends de installatie procedure de printer aangesloten moet worden op een usb en dat de pc dan de printer herkent en zodoende moet installeren
zodra de printer aangesloten word via een usb dan hoor ik een geluidje maar geen teken van herkenning
zodoende kan ik dus niet verder met de installatie.
andere randapperatuur wat via de usb aangesloten is herkent ie wel.
ook werkt de printer wel omdat ie op de oude computer gewoon naar behoren werkt.
wie helpt me even met de printer installeren??
 
Je hoort wel een geluidje maar staat hij dan ook onder start-printers en fax apparaten. Is dit niet het geval probeer dan eens de cd-rom die bij de printer moet zitten, op te starten. Installeer de drivers en eventuele programma's vanaf de cd-rom en start hierna de pc opnieuw op. Zet wel even de printer uit als je dit doet en na het opstarten weer aan. Eens kijken of dat wat uitmaakt.
 
Best mogelijk dat XP de printer niet herkent.
Control panel>Printers&Faxes:indien printer hier niet vermeld
staat als aanwezig,klik dan op "Add a printer" en volg de wi-
zard;indien voor het merk en type geen drivers gevonden wor-
den,zal de wizard vragen waar ze te vinden zijn;verwijs dan
naar de installatie-CD van Canon,of,beter nog,download bij
voorbaat de laatste drivers voor de printer bij Canon,geschikt
voor XP en geef dan de dile aan waarr de wizard ze kan op-
halen/installeren.

ik heb de nieuwste driver van canon.com gehaald omdat de originele zoek is.
deze heb ik opgeslagen nadat ie uitgepakt is
via configuratiescherm printers en faxen staat
microsoft office document image writer
maar geen canon
geef ik aan een printer toevoegen dan vind ie wederom geen printer
als ik handmatig probeer heb ik alleen de mogelijkheid een printer via de printerpoort aan te sluiten en niet via usb.

Je bedoeld hier mee dat je de driver geïnstalleerd hebt hoop ik?

Kijk ook even in apparaatbeheer of er geen foutief geïnstalleerde apparaten zijn. Is dit wel het geval verwijder deze dan en start opnieuw op, doe dan de printer aan en kijk of de printer dan herkent wordt.

Alle bestanden en mappen
Typ CANON

En kijk of daar CANON SETUP te vinden is
 
Drivers opgehaald en genoteerd waar te vinden;ok
Terug naar "Printer Wizard" en wanneer geen printer gevon-
den werd die Plug&Play is>Next>Select a printer port:Select
a printer port en scroll naar "USB001" en deze kiezen>Install
printer software:klik op "Have disk":hier browsen naar de
file waar je de drivers beschikbaar hebt en deze installeren.
OK,dan printer aansluiten op USB-poort,onder stroom zetten
en rebooten.
Dat zou moeten lukken,hoop ik toch!

hoe kom ik bij apperaat beheer?
ik heb de driver gedownload en een map gemaakt op de d schijf en daarin geunzipped.
van daaruit het programma opstarten maar verder dan usb aansluiten via usb en wachten totdat de computer hem detecteerd kom ik niet
 
Je moet de werkwijze volgen die ik hierboven aangaf.
Settings>Control Pane>Printers:Add a printer en dan de
Wizard volgen

in apperaat beheer staat alles goed, geen printer gevonden
alleen voor de raid controller staat een vraagteken maar dat is hier verder niet van belang
bolleke ik kan de usb001 poort niet selecteren omdat ie niet in de lijst voorkomt

kies ik voor een nieuwe poort maken dan zijn mijn opties

overigens staat meteen in het begin van de wizard printer toevoegen dat ik de wizard niet nodig heb als ik een usb printer heb. omdat hij de printer detecteerd zodra die aangesloten wordt wat dus niet het geval is.
 
Als het een printer betreft herkend door MS,XP Home Ed,volgt
de installatie automatisch wanneer de printer aangesloten
wordt,wat hier niet het geval schijnt te zijn;dus,drivers zelf
installeren.
Als je SP2 geinstalleerd staan hebt,bijkomend probleem:

en als de pc de nieuwste update,s automatisch binnenhaalt, zou de sp2 er dan ook al op zitten?
 
Even voor de zekerheid, werkt er uberhaupt wel een apparaat op de USB poort?
Wat staat er bij USB controllers in je apparaatbeheer?

ALs je wilt weten of je SP2 al binnenhebt, klik met rechts op 'deze computer' op het bureaublad en kies eigenschappen, je ziet dan direct (op het tabblad algemeen) welke Service Pack geïnstalleerd is.

P.S. je probeert toch wel eerst de software te installeren voordat je de printer aansluit. De printer mag tijdens het begin van de installatie dus niet aangesloten zijn.
 
ik zit nu niet achter de pc in kwestie
dus kan even niet zien of sp2 al geinstalleerd is.
bij mijzelf in ieder geval nog niet.
ik zal nog even kijken wat er precies bij apperaatbeheer staat.
ja de printer pas aangesloten als de driver erom vraagt.
overigens is het zelfde gebeurt met mijn eigen pc na een nieuwe computer en ook nog niet opgelost (ook een canon). deze is opgestuurd naar canon en volgens hun geen problemen.
en na een gesprek met een colega kreeg ik precies hetzelfde te horen wederom een canon na een nieuwe computer.
misschien een canon probleem?

a.welke drivers voor Canon geinstalleerd staan
b.is "usbprint" te zien en status nazien
Er zijn schijbaar teveel problemen met Canon die het vertikt
goede drivers aan te bieden en ze te testen voor de meest
gangbare OS'n vooraleer ze vrij te geven.

Ik denk het toch niet, heb hier zelf ook Canon printers staan en die laten zich probleemloos installeren.

nee sp2 is nog niet geinstalleerd.

maar als de installatie niet verder kan dan de herkenning van de usb poort dan gaat ie toch ook niet verder? en staat de driver toch ook niet op de schijf?

we zijn iets verder met het probleem
we hebben xp opnieuw geinstalleerd vanwege een andere probleem met norton.
we hebben de driver gedownload, daarna de map unzippen en opslaan naar de d-schijf.
vervolgens de setup uitgevoerd.
deze gaat tot aan de automatische herkenning
de eerste keer dat ik de usb in de usb poort gedaan had herkende hij inderdaad de printer.
probleem wasdat ie geen software vond voor de printer.
in het berichtje stond echter ook een hokje aangevinkt met niet opnieuw vragen om de software te installeren.
aangezien ik het een paar keer geprobeerd heb ben ik het vinkje vergeten weg te halen
dus het probleem word hoogstwaarschijnlijk veroorzaakt doordat ik het vinkje aan heb laten staan.
dus hoe krijg ik de herkenning terug en waarom vond ie geen software tijdens de installatie?

printer installeren,wizard volgen en wanneer gevraagd wordt
waar de drivers zich bevinden:browsen naar die map en ope-
nen.Normaal zal de installatie dan gedaan worden/beeindigt.
