pci express vista acpi probleem

Hallo,

Ik heb een nieuw systeem gebouwd.

Giga Byte 965GM Ds2 Rev2.0 (bios is F4)
4GB DDR RAM,
Pentium D 3.2Ghz
7600GT DDR3 256MB

Als ik de pc aanzet en de setup van vista wil gaan starten krijg ik de foutmelding
0x000005a bios not fully acpi compliant. Terwijl er met koeie letters op de doos staat vista ready en splinternieuw is. Wat ik wel al uitgevonden heb is dat de installatie gewoon start als ik de pci express videokaart eruit haal gaat ie prima(vga onboard ipv). Maar dat wil ik natuurlijk niet. Ik heb toch niet voor niets zo'n mooi kaart gekocht.
Gebruik een 450W Antec Voeding. Heb al acpi in de bios nagekeken maar staat niets over in vermeld. Bios is de laatste dus upgraden lukt ook niet. Beetje hopeloos maar ik hoop toch op iemand??

Die ACPI staat bij de powermanagement, maar die staat default op enabled, bij de nieuwere moederborden.

Ook zun je misschien geheugen toewijzen aan de onboard kaart, die dan juist niet toegewezen moet worden.

Overigens kun je eerst Vista installeren met die videokaart onboard, en later pas erin zetten.

Die al nagekeken?, die staat er echt wel in, en het toegewezen videogeheugen? lees ik ook niets over.

Als Vista is geïnstalleerd, kun je toch met die videokaart proberen op te starten?

Ps keuze alleen s1 en s3 en vga onboard enable if peg available

vista kom ik dan wel in maar dat wil je echt niet meemaken mindere prestaties , videogeheugen wijs je in windows toe staat niet in de bios

2-2 Advanced BIOS Features, daar staat, hij idd, en die kun je daar op disabled zetten, met de videokaart erin.

En die ACPI, zet die eens op S3, je weet 't niet hè.

nog andere ideeën?

Opgelost! Het feit dat ik 4gb ddr in mijn pc had zitten deed t de das om.
Jammer van die 4gb maar met 2gb doet ie t ook prima

pls help me I hope you can reply me in english.
I am from Italy, I have same problem you have when I install Vista Ultimate : I have same motherboard , same bios F4 and also 4GB ram with Cpu QX6700extreme and 8800GTX, but when I install Vista a blue screen appear with "BIOS IS NOT FULLY COMPLIANT ACPI..." and installation is stopped.

I don't understand if you succeed and solved yr problem or not : can you help me ?

The solution of Dvham was to take out 2gb of ram.

But why taake out 2GB ram ? I cannot use 4Gb with Vista forever or maybe some problems that will be solved later ? what do you think ?

I have no idea why it works on half a memory but for him was it the solution. Maybe the motherboard doesn't work fine with that amount of memory

Ok, noted.
let's hope a new bios will be released to issue the problem. It's apitty to have 4Gb and to use just 2......
Worst case i will re-install XP that at least can read 3,25Gb.
