pqrp melding /partition magic

ik heb om ubuntu te installeren een nieuwe partitie gemaakt met Norton Partition Magic.
Na het opnieuw opstarten is de partitie waar al mijn data opstaat niet meer toegankelijk.
de partitie is omschreven ipv NTFS als PqRP.
Wat kan ik doen om dit te herstellen???

Ik lees (in het Engels):

To solve the problem with PTEDIT:
Execute PTEDIT
Locate the PQRP. The type value of which will be 3C. (If the PQRP occurred on a logical partition, click on GoToEPBR to locate the correct partition.)
Click in the type field where the 3C is located.
Click on the Set Type button.
A list of available partition types will be displayed. Select the appropriate partition type. (FAT32 if it was FAT32 before etc.)
Save the changes and exit.
