The web hosting company for SpywareInfo's message board, Invision Power Services (IPS), tonight has committed a breach of contract by disabling access to the message board.
A little background.
The SpywareInfo message board is a very busy site. At any one moment, several hundred people will be surfing through the site. Traffic to both the main site and the message board have increased dramatically recently. This increase in traffic, according to IPS, has caused problems with other customers on the server hosting the message board.
Weeks ago, IPS contacted me to say that the message board was causing serious strain on the server and suggested the purchase of a dedicated server. I agreed and paid for a dedicated server. This was over two weeks ago. I have heard nothing about my server and to date have seen no service or communications whatsoever as a result of sending IPS payment for the server.
IPS has breached our hosting agreement by disabling access to the web site. Their gross negligence in failing to provide the server that has already been paid for caused disruptions to SpywareInfo's message board as well as to other customers sharing the web server. These disruptions are completely the fault of IPS.
For their failure to carry out their contractual obligations, I will be suing Invision Power Services for breach of contract and tortious interference with my online business. In the three year history of this site, I have never had the misfortune to do business with such an incompetent web host. If you have been considering hosting a site with Invision Power Services, I would advise you to look for a more competent host, one which honors its service agreements.
In the meantime, due to Invision Power's incompetance, you will be unable to receive assistance in SpywareInfo's message board. Please use one of the following message boards for help.
