TV enDirectX9.0c

Na het installeren van SIMS2,met directX9.0c, werkt mijn TV ontvangst op de computer niet meer. Het programma start wel op, maar komt niet verder dan de tekst:"even geduld, de functie TV wordt gestart".
Ik heb een medion computer, het programma Power Cinema om TV en teletekst te ontvangen een ATI Radeon9800xxl grafische kaart en een medion {phillips} TV tuner 7134 MK2/3

Deze patch werkte bij mijn buurman, na de juiste patch gedownload te hebben (let op taal). even runnen en tv ontvangst was weer vanouds.

Why does my PAL TV-Tuner stop functioning as soon as DirectX 9.0b is installed? Changes to DirectX in version 9.0b have adversely affected the functionality of the PAL TV-Tuner. Microsoft are currently working hard to resolve the issue. The following is an excerpt from a statement that Microsoft has released, as found on ATI’s web site: http://mirror.ati.com/support/infobase/4254.htmlMicrosoft has investigated reports that the DirectX 9.0b release adversely affects a subset of ATI products with PAL TV Tuners. We acknowledge that a change to DirectShow TV Tuner support in this 7/25/03 release has impacted PAL TV capture. We are developing a patch with high priority to correct this issue. Please note that this change is not related to the security fix identified in bulletin MS03-030, although both fixes are in the DirectX 9.0b release.
