Windows 7 dual boot Windows XP

Dag helpmij'rs.

Ik heb een probleem.
Ik heb een pc met windows 7
Omdat niet alle games compatibel zijn met windows 7 wil ik graag een dual boot met windows XP.
Als ik boot vanaf de windows XP cd laad hij enkele dingen en komt er daarna op:
Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
De fout is 0x0000007B
Weet iemand wat ik fout doe?

Normaal gesproken begin je eerst met het oudste OS en dan het nieuwe OS dan heb je geen problemen en wordt de boot.ini/MBR automatisch aangepast door het nieuwe OS.Heb je een partitie gereserveerd/aangemaakt voor XP?
Nog beter is een 2e schijf.

Hier is de uitleg van je foutmelding:

STOP: 0x0000007B (parameter, parameter, parameter, parameter) INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

Explanation:

This is a Windows 2000 Executive character-mode STOP message. During I/O system initialization, the driver for the boot device might have failed to initialize the device the system is attempting to start from. It is also possible that the file system failed to initialize because it did not recognize the data on the boot device. If this error occurs during initial system setup, the system might have been installed on an unsupported disk or SCSI controller. Also, this error might occur because of the installation of a new SCSI adapter or disk controller or if the disk was repartitioned with the system partition.

User Action:

If this is the first time you have booted after installing new hardware, remove the hardware and boot again. Check the Microsoft Hardware Compatibility List to verify that the hardware and its drivers are compatible with Windows 2000. For information about the hardware, contact the supplier. If you are installing Windows 2000 for the first time, check the Windows 2000 system requirements, including the amount of RAM and disk space required to load the operating system. Also, check the Hardware Compatibility List to verify that the system can run Windows 2000. If Windows 2000 is loaded and no new hardware has been installed, reboot with recovery options set to create a dump file. If the message continues to appear, select the Last Known Good option when you reboot. If there is no Last Known Good configuration, try using the Emergency Repair Disk. If you do not have an Emergency Repair Disk, contact your technical support group.

Ik heb een tweede partitie aangemaakt.
Ik zal er nog 1 proberen aanmaken. Mischien is er iets fout mee.
Wat is trouwens die boot.ini?

In 't kort symplistisch uitgelegd;
Boot.ini is een opstartfile dat aangeeft welk OS en met welke opties een besturingssysteem wordt geladen,deze verwijzing is nodig om überhaupt een OS te kunnen laden.
Doch dit was onder XP. In Vista gaat dit anders en in Win 7 gaat dit weer anders,ik heb begrepen dat het hier in 't register is ondergebracht.Kon je in XP het Boot.ini nog "gemakkelijk" aanpasen in Vista en Win 7 is dit een stuk lastiger en zonder BootSoftware EasyBCD_for Win 7 van derden is dit bijna niet te doen.Daarom wordt ook aanbevolen met 't oudste OS te beginnen,de volgende OS'sen passen vervolgens automatisch de benodigde files voor de opstartvolgorde enz. aan.
Of 't je lukt je XP achteraf (je hebt nu Win 7) erbij te installeren weet ik niet wellicht dat er anderen op 't forum zijn die je in deze verder kunnen helpen.
