I think my Dell Studio 1555 with Windows Vista has some sort of malicious virus. I can't figure out how to fix it!
I tried running two different scans with AVG and Superantispyware free edition, but neither found any threats.
I tried to run a startup repair with my Vista Repair disk but it didn't even have a Startup repair option when I F8'd it at startup.
I also tried to run a system restore but it says that there are no restore points. When I tried to manually make one, there was no System Protection tab in my System Properties.
I'm not sure what to do from here. On normal startup my computer had many popups regarding startup programs that are unable to work , including "windows user defender" and "symantec". I am currently in Safe Mode with Networking and my computer also works with all of the startup programs disabled.
If anyone can help, try and make it as simple as possible. Thank you so much!
