xp installatie probleem

xp wil niet bij mij op de comp sinds ik een nieuwe harde schijf in mijn compaq heb geplaatst. dit is een 40 gb schijf van maxtor.

telkens krijg ik tijdens de installatie de kreet:

unmountable boot volume

te zien waarna de installatie wordt afgebroken.

win98se werkt wel goed en kan ik zonder problemen installeren.

kan iemand mij helpen????

Wordt de schijf wel door het Bios herkend?

Als alles er af mag.
Haal dan met Fdisk de partities weg en maak ze opnieuw aan.

Because of the write-pattern optimization in IDE disk drives, the caching routines sometimes write data out of order to keep drive write speeds at the fastest possible level depending on where data is located on the disk. This opens a timing window where the NTFS disk system could have critical tables damaged if a write is not finished. Microsoft has recommended in the past that caching on IDE drives be turned off on programs with somewhat critical data that is stored on the disk or for situations that allow the slight drop in overall speed. Programs with critical data may need to use SCSI drives, which have better control of data transactions.

To solve this problem for the moment start the Recovery Console, login as Administrator and start the commando CHKDSK /R. This should repair any damaged data on disk.

bios

zoals je misschien weet kun je bij een compaq niet bij de bios. als je een manier weet wil ik die graag weten. ik heb al diverse keren nieuwe partities aangemaakt en niets daarvan bracht verbetering.

ik heb het opgelost!!!!

ik heb een nieuwe 80 aderige kabel tussen mijn moederbord gedaan (eentje die elke ader heeft afgeschermt) voor de nieuwere harde schijven. ook heb ik de cmos gereset zodat de harde schijf daarna opnieuw moest worden herkend.
