CHIP on-line one means: Aldi succeeded without doubt again once a completely good offer at an attractive price. With the blocked diagram map it will act around one in the clock frequency reduced XT variant of the Radeon 9800. Skepticism makes itself there only concerning the driver support broad, at the performance of the map actually gives it to surely nothing to expose. A similar special model was blocked also in the last Aldi computer - and one was there dependent on the adapted Medion drivers.
The assigned 512 MByte DDR RAM with 400 MHz suggest a quite performantes Main board with high FSB.
The 160 GByte non removable disk of Seagate with 7.200 U/Min is nowadays nothing special more, offers however quick access on larger data sets. Over the soundness we can meet unfortunately still no statement.
The inserted pioneer-burner understands itself on plus and minus formats. Probably it concerns with Aldi the Pioneer Dvr-a06,which burned +RW, r, Rw and +R without problems in the CHIP Testlaborb and that the CHIP Bestenlisten place 9 with one "well" occupied. The burner costs in the trade approx.. 150 euro.
Who wanted to always jump up on the w-LAN-course, here is already the fast variant with 54 MBit/s transmission rate that works with the IEEE 802.11g-Standard which is compatible to the 802.11b-Standard. To have profit of it's speed in addition, it's only possible if the network works with the same standard, otherwise remains the data rate with usual 11 MBit/s.
Competition of Media market for Multimedia fans one compares the Aldi PC with the current offer of the Media market, then it becomes fast clear that it does not have Aldi in this year easily to form itself. The Scaleo nevertheless costs M with the red giant smooth 80 euro less. But there is no WLAN, but a MPEG TV map and a Windows XP Professional as well as the Media center edition inclusive remote maintenance.
