Welke XP gebruik je? Met XP pro wil het niet met home kan het wel...
Ik heb het zelf nog niet geprobeerd maar wel het volgende gevonden...
for those of you who dont know, by default you cannot share the "program files" folder
in XP, and even if you do manage to share it, other computers cant view it by default..
its really a pain in the ass.. i hope this helps people out.
this will let you share the "program files" folder, along with any other "restircted"
folder in XP PRO..
i believe this can be done on XP HOME, but must be done in safe
mode..
1) turn off simple file sharing - open my computer, tools/folder options/'view' tab,
at the bottom untick 'use simple file sharing (reccomended)'
2) open my computer, go to the rogue folder that is being a bitch and wont let itself
share. in most of our cases the "program files" folder, right click "sharing and
security", click on the SECURITY tab, click ADVANCED, click ADD, click ADVANCED,
click FIND NOW, it will bring up a list, scroll down until you find EVERYONE, click/highlight
EVERYONE, and click OK, click OK again, click ALLOW next to FULL CONTROL (you can
customize your security options if you wish), click OK, click OK again, there will
be a slight delay while the computer works to do whatever its doing to give these
permissions, and click OK to close the properties window for the "program files"
folder.. you may now procede sharing the program files folder or sharing the c: drive
(which i need to do)..
you may need to give set the permissions in the sharing tab for "EVERYONE".
right click on program files folder, click sharing tab, select "share this folder",
click PERMISSIONS button, click ADD button, click ADVANCED button, click FIND NOW
button, click/highlight EVERYONE, click OK, click OK again, check ALLOW FULL CONTROL,
click OK, click OK again.. and now, finally, you can share the freakin' program files
folder or any other "restricted"
folder..
i hope you all find this useful, and search the search engines for anyone else having
this problem, post this method. BECAUSE IT WORKS!

Dit klopt niet dus helemaal . Je kunt wel alles delen in WinXP pro (home weet ik niet maar vast ook wel) dit is zelfs al standaard gedaan namelijk met de share (=gedeelde map) c$.
Even uitleg over de share c$:
Dat dollar teken achter de c betekent dat het een verborgen share is en je deze dus niet in de netwerkomgeving in die pc ziet als gedeelde map.
Alle harde schijven hebben zo'n share (dus als je ook een d: voor hd hebt dan is dat d$)
Je kunt alleen in deze share met administrator rechten.
En via deze share kun je in alle mappen op die schijf.
Deze share is niet te verwijderen.
Er is geloof ik ook een standaard share voor de windows map en de map program files.
Wanneer deze share er niet is zul je eerst via een andere map het delen aan moeten zetten (rechtermuisknop op map->eigenschappen->tabblad delen->deel de map, klik op ja/ok op de vraag/melding)
Heb hier geen bron van maar weet dat dit standaard zo is ingeregeld.
PS een ander standaard gedeelde map is Shared documents
