Hoe dit dan kan gebeuren weet ik niet. Je kunt eens kijken naar DesktopOK die de pictogrammen kan opslaan.

This happened to me too. Here is the solution that worked for me: right click on the desktop -> "View" -> check or uncheck "Auto Arange Icons". All the files and folders will apear, unfortunately all on the left side. You will have to drag and drop them where you need but, hey, you files are back on the desktop

Windows 7- FIles in Desktop Folder do not appear on actual Desktop
