MSN / Windows Messenger (

Question: I've heard you can log into two different accounts on MSN Messenger simultaneously. How do I run multiple instances of the software?
Answer: So you need to share MSN Messenger with other family members or friends, but you don't want to log off everytime someone else needs to be online? Or you have two MSN Messenger accounts and you'd like to be available on both?
That's not a problem, but you need to 'patch' your software in order to enable this. The Polygamy patch (also known as Simultaneous Sessions or Multi-MSN patch) allows you to run several MSN Messenger clients simultaneously.
What you need to do is check which version of MSN Messenger you've got:
1. Choose 'Help' in MSN Messenger
2. Select 'About MSN Messenger'
3. Look for the extended Version number between brackets (eg. 4.6.0082).
Now go to the Mess.be file download section dedicated to these patches (shortcut: here) and download the one that's suitable for your version of MSN Messenger. Unzip & run it. With most patches, you'll need to point it to the exact location of your 'msmsgs.exe' file (where you installed MSN Messenger). By default, that's C:\Program Files\Messenger, but if you can't find it, just perform a search in Windows on 'msmsgs.exe'.
When you've patched your software, everytime you double click the MSN Messenger icon a new client will load!
NOTE: The patch could refuse to work on a previously altered MSN Messenger, eg. a fully skinned one. If you really want it, you'll have to download MSN Messenger again and re-install it.
(With over a hundred thousand downloads this is thee most popular special trick for MSN Messenger!)
