Re: No sound in Flash Player 10
I had this problem for a long time and it's so simple!
I had no sound in java console or flash.
But it worked fine in winamp, windows media player etc.
Here's what it was:
flash plays on your front speakers only!
make sure each of your speakers are plugged into the right plug and sound is set properly; for example 2.1, 5.1, 7.1 etc
windows XP pro
control panel / sounds and audio..../
with the volume tab selected look at the bottom. next to speaker volume button and click advanced select the proper configuration.
also check balance settings ... front-rear-right-left
I tried everything and for months used my laptop for shockwave sound
I am a fair pc tech and I overlooked the obvious for so long trying to find a hardware problem or regestry problem that didn't exist.
Oh brother---covers my eyes-- oh the shame.
you should have a console for your soundcard software also! mine is real tech and can be accessed from the lower task bar by the clock by double clicking the speaker- there may be adjustments there too.
