Nieuwe processor

Hallo allemaal!
Ik wil dus een nieuwe processor gaan kopen, want deze (Intel Celeron D 3,2 Ghz single core) word wel erg traag met multi tasking. Het zit op een Acer MRS600M (socket 775) moederboard. Ik heb een budget van ongeveer 130 euro.
Ik heb al een beetje rond zitten kijken, en kwam op de volgende processoren:

Intel Pentium E6700 (Dual Core)

Of, een van deze AMD processoren met Dit moederboard

AMD Athlon II X4 640 (Quad core)

AMD Phenom II X2 555 (Dual Core)

Bij de AMD Phenom las ik dat er nog 2 cores bij geunlocked zouden kunnen worden, zodat het een Quad core werd.. Klopt dit? En wat zijn hier de risico's van?

Wat zouden jullie bij adviseren?

Maar.. zit ik dan niet over een jaar met een defect moederboard/processor?

Nou... het lijkt me dat AMD er een rede voor heeft om die 2 cores locked te houden..

This is of course all incorrect, and it is indeed not a safe guarantee when you unlock the disabled cores. The reason for this is that the disabled cores are turned off for a reason: they failed factory tests. Cores can fail for any number of reasons, including defects in the silicon, problems running at full frequency, or a bug introduced during manufacturing.

AMD disabled CPU cores for this very reason.

When you unlock the disabled cores, they will run at full processor frequency, since you cannot run each core at different speeds. While you may see initial gains and benefits from turning a dual-core CPU into a quad-core CPU, you may introduce instability into your system. Things may corrupt, calculate incorrectly or even crash..

Wat is dan precies het verschil tussen De Phenom en de Athlon? Want de Athlon heeft wel 4 cores, alleen heeft de Phenom L3 cace.. Wat wil dit precies zeggen?

Waar heb je dit vndaan?

Kan het niet meer vinden.. Maar de Athlon is wél standaard een Quad core, alleen heeft de Phenom L3-Cace. Waarvoor is L3 cace precies?
