ik heb hier een dell inspirion 9400

1) er zijn geen cd van xp bijgeleverd en driver cd
normaal gezien is er dan een restore partitie waar alles opstaat zal waarschijnlijk een verborgen partitie zijn

2)hoe kan je een bacup weerzetten van dell

3) de taal is nu in engels en naarschijnt als je een bacup weerzet zou er een optie zijn om meerdere talen zijn zodat je xp in verschillende talen kunt installeren

pc is een week oud en met de nodige licenties

Krijg je niet een optie om een toets tijdens het opstarten in te drukken voor herstel? Staat het niet beschreven in de handleiding?

Het lijkt me stug dat je kunt kiezen in welke taal je Windows wilt hebben. Elke taal heeft zijn eigen windows uitgave.

STEP: Restore the system to the Dell factory installation (PC Backup).

NOTICE: To help prevent further complications, it is important to disconnect the system's modem or network cable before starting the restore process.

To restore the system to the Dell factory installation using PC Backup, perform the following steps:
NOTE: PC Backup is available on Dimension and Inspiron systems that shipped on or after 18 Oct. 2005 in the Americasand 18 Feb. 2006 in Europe.

1. Power the computer on.
2. When the Dell screen appears press and hold the 'Ctrl' key on the keyboard, press the 'F11' key, then release them both at the same time.
The Starting Symantec|Dell Recovery Environment screen appears.

NOTE NOTE: Press the keys one time only. If you press them more than once, a keyboard error occurs and the process has to be initiated again.

3. Once the End User License Agreement appears, Click the Accept button or press the 'Enter' key to indicate your acceptance of the End User License Agreement.
The Symantec Recovery Disk window appears.
4. Click on the Recover My Computer to Original Dell Configuration button or press 'Tab' until Recover My Computer to Original Dell Configuration is highlited and press 'Enter'.
5. The Recover My Computer Wizard dialog box appears. Click Yes or press the 'Tab' key and press 'Enter'.
6. A second Recover My Computer Wizard dialog box appears. Click Yes or press the 'Tab' key and press 'Enter' to start the recovery process.
The Ghost32 8.2 window appears. Once the process is begun, it usually takes only 8 to 10 minutes to complete.
When the restore is complete, the system will restart

Your software is now as it was when you first received your computer.

blijkbaar tussen all de handleidingen zat er een klein brief met werking ervanhttp://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kb/en/document?c=us&cs=19&DN=1092168&l=en&s=dhsdell

je had gelijk alleen maar in engels ,zou niet lukken met een nederlandse versie erover te kegelen maar dan kreeer je een dual boot
zijn er geen trukjes om het van taal te veranderen,of word het een nieuwe xp

je had blijkbaar het andwoord al gegeven om 21.20 maar was zo druk bezig met die handleidingen te doorploeteren

je kan natuurlijk ook een MUI pack (multilanguage) proberen vast te krijgen, als je die op een UK (engels) XP pro OEM of retail kegelt kan je je taal kiezen ...
of gewoon installeren met een OEM NL XP cd die aan je licentie voldoet(pro of home)
de serienummers maken niet uit welke taal je cd is

is effe te proberen waard hoogste verlies is 40 minuten van mijn tijd
