Dezer dagen kreeg ik een probleemoplossingsbericht van Microsoft dat ik heb toegepast. Ik hoop dat het probleem nu is opgelost.

This problem was caused by lmpgspl.ax, which was created by Ligos Corporation. lmpgspl.ax is a codec.
What is a codec?
A codec is software that is used to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or video. Media players and other programs use codecs to play and create digital media files.
Solution

Click the Fix it button to let Windows try to automatically repair the problem.
What will happen when I click Fix it?
When you click Fix it, Windows will:
Check your computer to make sure the correct solution is offered.
Give you the choice of installing or not installing the solution.
Double-check your computer to ensure the repair was done correctly.

If this is the first time you've used Fix it, you will be prompted to agree to Terms and Conditions, and then Internet Explorer will ask you to install a secure ActiveX control. In order to use Fix it, you must perform both actions.

Onder die knop staat ook een mogelijkheid om het probleem handmatig op te lossen.

If Windows is unable to automatically repair the problem, try one of the following:
Check for updates for lmpgspl.ax
Go online to check for and install updates that might be available for lmpgspl.ax:

Uninstall the program that installed lmpgspl.ax
If this problem occurred after you installed a new program, that program might be causing the problem. If you know which program you just installed, you can uninstall it.
Click to open Programs and Features.
Select the program you want to uninstall, and then click Uninstall. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Note
If the program that you want to uninstall isn't listed, it might not have been written for this version of Windows. To uninstall the program, check the information that came with the program.
Use the regsvr32 command to unregister lmpgspl.ax
If you don't know which program is causing this problem, you can remove lmpgspl.ax from the list of installed codecs by unregistering it.
Warning
Disabling lmpgspl.ax will cause any programs that depend on the codec to stop working or lose functionality.
Follow these steps to unregister lmpgspl.ax:
Find the folder that contains lmpgspl.ax
Click the Start button , and then, in the Search box, type lmpgspl.ax.
In the list of search results, right-click lmpgspl.ax, and then click Open file location.
Click on the folder icon in the address bar at the top of the window to reveal the path to the folder that contains the file.
Write down or copy the path to the folder that contains lmpgspl.ax so that you can refer to it in the section below.
Note
If your search doesn't return any results, you may need to use Advanced Search to find the file.
Use Advanced Search to find the file
Click the Start button , and then, in the Search box, type lmpgspl.ax.
To open the Search folder, click Search Everywhere.
Click the Advanced Search button.
Select the Include non-indexed, hidden, and system files check box, and then click the Search button.
Proceed from step ii in section a above to find the file location.
Use Command Prompt to unregister lmpgspl.ax
Click the Start button , and then, in the Search box, type Command Prompt.
From the list of results, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
At the command prompt, type cd followed by a space, type or paste the path to the folder that contains lmpgspl.ax (found in Step iv of Section a), and then press ENTER.
Type regsvr32 /u lmpgspl.ax, and then press ENTER. lmpgspl.ax is now unregistered.
Note
Re-registering the file after you have unregistered it might solve the problem. To re-register the file, repeat steps i through iii in section b. In step iv, type regsvr32 lmpgspl.ax. Repeat the steps to unregister the file if the problem returns.
Disable thumbnail view in Windows Explorer
Click the Start button , click Control Panel, click Appearance and Personalization, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab, and then select the Always show icons, never thumbnails check box.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
