Heb zojuist Vmware gedownload, nu heb ik LINUX geïnstalleerd.
alles goed en wel, nu probeer ik VMware Tools te installeren krijg ik de melding permission denied kan iemand mij helpen?
Heb VMware installeren aangezet onder VM > Install Vmware Tools
heb de volgende commando's ingegeven:
1. su - (root)
2. sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-$(uname -r) zonder resultaat hij zegt dan apt-get: command not found
3. VM > Install Vmware Tools

zoals aangegeven in deze tekst moet ik de onderstaande 2 bestanden zien na het invoeren van de commando's:
Now at this point, you can mount the CDROM to a directory. Let's give it a shot:
cd /mnt
sudo mkdir cdrom
sudo mount /dev/cdrom cdrom (hij zegt mount point cdrom does not exist)
deze melding krijg ik dan: mount: block device /dev/cdrom is write-protected, mounting read-only
Notice the message at the end, that /dev/cdrom is write-protected, which is standard for any CDROM devices. Now let's enter in the directory to which we just mounted the CDROM to see what's there:
mnt/cdrom ls -l (Dit commando kan niet uitvoeren zegt hij no such file in directory)
total 33608
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 17400872 2006-08-09 16:13 VMwareTools-1.0.1-29996.i386.rpm
-r--r--r-- 1 root root 17012548 2006-08-09 16:11 VMwareTools-1.0.1-29996.tar.gz
