- Turn off the phone: If the screen is locked and you cannot turn it off normally, wait for the battery to die, or press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously for about 7 seconds to force a restart.
- Enter Recovery Mode: As soon as the screen turns black, immediately press and hold the Volume Up, Bixby, and Power buttons together at the same time.
- Release the buttons when the Samsung Galaxy or blue Android recovery screen appears.
- Wipe the data: Use the Volume Down button to navigate the menu and highlight Wipe data/factory reset. Press the Power button to select it.
- Scroll down to Factory data reset using the Volume Down key and press the Power button.

Na de factory reset MOET je inloggen met het eerder gebruikte emailadres. Indien gewenst kun je daarna een ander emailadres gebruiken. Dit is een beveiliging die moet voorkomen dat een gestolen device opnieuw gebruikt kan worden.
Verder heb ik gemerkt dat je bij nieuwere tablets een dataverbinding via USB moet hebben met bijv. een laptop. Anders kom je niet in de recovery mode. Enkel inpluggen is al voldoende.
