Common Client Network Proxy Service. Background task/service (Windows 2000/XP/2003) seemingly introduced by Symantec with the 2004 version of Norton Personal Firewall and Norton Internet Security. From what we have seen this task seems to be the 2004 version of the CCPXYSVC service in the 2003 version of the same products.
Recommendation :
We do not know what this task/service actually does, but we do know it is essential to the proper functioning of the firewall, so leave it alone.
