Windows XP Service pack3

Na volledige herinstallatie van Windows XP probeer ik ook Service pack3 te installeren.
Als de pc na deze installatie terug opstart blokkeert hij volledig en start op in veilige modus.
De enige oplossing is teruggaan naar een vorig herstelpunt.
Ik heb dit tot 4 maal geprobeert en telkens hetzelfde resultaat.
Voor de rest werkt de PC perfect.
De PC is een HP met AMD Sempron processor.(Pavilion T3030)
Weet iemand hier een oplossing voor: voorlopig installeer ik sp3 niet meer!!
Het probleem is dan ook wel dat automatishe updates telkens maar komt meedelen dat SP3 klaar staat om geinstalleerd te worden.

Kijk ff hier op de forums van HP,heb hetzelfde aan de hand gehad met 'n pc van een kennis.Is een kwestie v.e. registeraanpassing,is mij toen ook gelukt.

It will first check whether you have an AMD-based computer. If you do it will check whether the IntelPPM driver is set to load. If it is it will offer you an option to disable it. The tool works by simply double-clicking it.
