2 pc, but with this modem there is only one etnernet uit. so i was thinking a hub with 2 exits.

i did the things according the to manual book, using crossover cable connect the modem to the hub, and connecting pc with hub with normal cable.

one computer can be online, but when you plug in the other computer to the hub, then both computer goes offline. and kept switch from no cable plugs in to acquiring ip address.

one computer acquiring ip address, then the other commuter shows no cables plugs in, keep changing, but neither of them can be concocted to the internet.

so my question if it has something to do with ziggo, they block hub or what? so i can not use a hub?

i have another question, there is another USB uit on the motorola modem, but i can only use it on a windows pc. is that possible i can buy a usb router or something to broadcast the wifi from that usb uit?

or is there any etnernet cable with a USB plug at one end?

the modem is like this one

This will only work with an router and not with a switch

Hi,

You'll have to buy a router that can "route" the packages to your two pc's...

Je praat geen Nederlands maar je kunt het wel lezen.
Anders was je niet bij Helpmij.nl gekomen.

Nee ziggo ondersteund niet rechtstreeks een hubs/witch
Daar zal je eerst een router tussen moeten zetten......

thanks!!! i added another question.. i donot know how to utilize that usb uit?

Etnernet cable with USB plug( exist or not)

something to transit the internet package from the USB uit to an etnernet cable adoptable??

or usb router?

Hoi !

De USB-uit kun je gebruiken als je PC geen netwerkkaart heeft., dus NIET voor een extra PC !

Hello,

This will not work.
The Ziggo modem you are using does only support 3 MAC addresses.
2 for the internet connection (computers)
1 for the MTA (Telephony).
Once 2 Computer MAC addresses are recognized by the modem, the modem will not be able to handle a third mac address.

The solution would be to connect a router trough the modem, and then your switch/hub to the router. In this situation the router will have the mac address and will assign the IP address to your machines.

Modem > Router > Switch (if still needed) > machines
Or Modem > Router > Machines (easier)
