Overstap op Apple??

Ik moet mijn huidige desktop met XP-prof. geheel opnieuw installeren waarbij ik al problemen met Windows verwacht daar de installatie-CD niet (meer) gelezen kan worden (legaal met de bij mij bekende productkey) waar ik al een moeizaam begin vermoed met Microsoft (Thailand :rolleyes:)!
Nu sta ik op de wip een grote LCD-monitor te kopen en Apple heeft het e.e.a. gecombineerd. Nu is mijn vraag of hun software zoveel beter is om mee te werken (ben ook zat van Microsoft).
Wie kan deze weinig wetende wat op weg helpen?

Het werkt beter en sneller.
En uit het blad "comutertotaal" bleek uit een OS battle dat Windows 7 de winnaar is!!
Daarna mac os x snow leopard,

dus..... Ik zou voor Windows gaan!

Nou, ik heb niet echt een 'overstap' gemaakt. Meer omdat ik op mijn stage nu zo'n 110 Apple's onder mijn hoede heb.

- Is niet moeilijk, ik heb er 2 weken voor nodig gehad en ik had alles onder de knie

Wel valt mij op dat zodra een iMac te lang aan staat (Zonder herstart / uitloggen) dat het problemen gaat opleveren. Of te wel, programma's lopen plots vast of werken niet meer, netwerk-sleutels raken verloren (Krijg 5 leerlingen per dag met dat probleem).

Verder, is het installeren van programma's een kwestie van 'drag and drop'. Soms word er een wizard (Zoals die in Windows). Maar ook heel vaak gewoon een venster waar de aplicatie in staat en een mapje naar je programma's. Dan sleep je het 'programmatje' naar het mapje en dan is het al geinstalleerd. (Heeft iets weg van Copy -> Paste).

Over de hotkeys valt erg veel te vertellen. Maar die kan je beter gewoon op internet opzoeken en een keer naast je scherm plakken ofzo.

Weer een zetje in de (goede?) richting! Goede, waarom? Ik ben panisch van producten verkocht onder exclusiviteit, hetgeen voor Apple geldt, en de algemene dienst/service-verlening hier (in Thailand) is toch al zeer povertjes en met een "normale" computer kan ik overal terecht!

Als de TS in het begin post al meld dat hij/zei zat is van Microsoft, hoef je niet te vertellen hoe perfect Windows7 al wel niet is.

Mijn computer staat 10-15 uur aan bij een omgevingstemperatuur van 26-27 graden C. met 6 interne ventilatoren; mijn vorige stortte met veel minder regelmatig in elkaar, maar dat was dan ook iets warmer: zo'n 30 graden of iets hoger.

Ja, ik ben Windows zat maar meer om andere redenen en......... ja, als hun product nu beter is dan doen we wel wat water bij de wijn :o!

Ik werk overigens eigenlijk alleen met foto's.

Hehe, photoshop draait er ook prima onder. Verder, is het je eigen keus wat je er verder mee doet. Ik werk met Win7 en op stage met Apple, nou werk ik liever met OSX dan met Win7 (Desondanks dat ik hier geen games kan spelen) maar goed. Ieder zijn eigen keus :thumb:

Ik heb lang overlegd en heb besloten een LCD-monitor van 24“ te kopen daar ik denk te geloven dat alleen Apple 27“ heeft, jammer! Ik herinstalleer mijn slechts ruim een jaar oude Acer Veriton M661 die ik in een grotere kast heb gebouwd, van een zwaardere voeding en een grotere graffic-card heb voorzien met Windows 7.

Mijn contra van Apple was dat ik denk dat hun prijzen wat overtrokken zijn en meest belangrijk dat hun service hier discutabel is (maar dat is een zwak van de locale cultuur) zoals ik al van enkele zijden heb gelezen.

Ik zal dus tegen mijn wil aan Bill blijven plakken, totdat ik mij wat meer eigen heb gemaakt in Linux.
