SPSS installeren op MAC

Hallo allemaal,

ik zit met een probleem. Ik probeer (legaal) spss 16 te installeren op mijn mac, maar hij wilt de installatie maar niet compleet voltooien. Ik hoop dat iemand mij verder kan helpen. Ik krijg alleen een tekstbestand in de map, dit staat erin:

Ik meen in ieder geval een Java foutmelding te zien (beter gezegd: Dat die niet geïnstalleerd lijkt te zijn op je mac).

Ga naar http://www.java.com vanaf de mac en installeer Java Runtime voor de Mac.

Bedankt voor je reactie.

Ik kan via de java site niks downloaden:

Apple Computer heeft een eigen versie van Java. Gebruik de Software Update-functie (beschikbaar in het Apple-menu) om te controleren of u over de recentste versie van Java voor uw Mac beschikt.

Heb ik gedaan, maar er staat niks voor java bij om een update te doen. Als ik java open dan staat er wel dit:

Java: 1.6.0_20; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (16.3-b01-279, mixed mode)

Nou ja, de melding ProductException: (error code = 601; message="JVM not found") klinkt toch dat de Java Virtual Machine niet in het pad gevonden is.

Dan zie ik meldingen zoals: Could not write ASCII file /Applications/SPSSInc/SPSS16/SPSS16.0.app/Contents/bin/licin.sh.
wat weer lijkt te wijzen op onvoldoende rechten.

Ik ben geen MAC-held, maar misschien kun je toch iets hiermee.

Ik denk al dat ik weet wat er mis is. Ik heb spss versie 16 gekocht, er staat ook op de cd geschikt voor Mac OS X 10.4. Ik heb 10.6. Heb nu dus versie 18 besteld die daar wel geschikt voor is. In ieder geval bedankt voor je hulp en hopen dat het met versie 18 wel lukt, anders horen jullie het wel
