Windows 2000 (afsluiten)

Heb een Pc probleem gekregen, alles weer moeten installeren. Maar nu heb ik het probleem dat windows niet meer afsluit.

Dit moet ik nu doen door de schakelaar uit te zetten van de pc.

Voorheen was het dat als men wilde afsluiten de pc na een bepaalde tijd zelf afsloeg.

Ga es in Win2000 naar Start-Uitvoeren en typ daar Regedit. Ga dan naar +HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE--> SYSTEM-->CurrentControlSet-->Control en zet in het rechtervenster WaitToKillServiceTimeOut op 1500. Dit verkort vaak de tijd tot het afsluiten.

Zit je in een netwerk of is je pc een server?

Hij bedoelt dat hij het scherm "u kunt de computer nu afsluiten" blijft zien en dat de PC niet automatisch uitgaat.

Solution for power down/system shutdown

Many people have been having problems with their system not automatically closing down when they 'turn off' their PC. This is because of the APM setting which is not enabled. To enable it, right click on my computer goto properties select hardware and click device mangager.
Click view and then on show hidden devices. You should see the NT ATM / Legacy Interface mode with a red cross on it. Double click it and on the screen that appears at the bottom choose enable from the drop down menu.

Your PC should now automatically switch off completely on shutdown.
